Anti Ageing
1 – Protect from Direct Sunlight (UV): Yes, sun is one of the main factor for your premature skin aging. Damage to your skin started years back but you see dead, dull and wrinkled skin now. Well, there is famous saying “When it comes to sun damage; prevention is much better than cure ”.

As you know, there are many ways to prevent sun damage occurring. We just tend to ignore or sometimes feel shame to adopt. But remember, at the end, you are the one who is suffering. Just give you few examples about how to protect from Sun;

You can use sun screen for face and neck.Use hat whenever you go outside i.e. work, shopping or even to hang out the washing etc.Use make-up that contains sunscreen Try to remain under shade when possible If you do not apply any sunscreen, at least cover your un-covered body parts with a cloth.

2 – Free Radicals: Another major factor is “free radicals”. So let first talk about what they are? They are molecules produced from many sources i.e. air, pollution, chemicals and radiation. Fatty diets and over exercising can trigger the free radicals. These free radicals can disturb your system and in latest study “could significantly damage you health” which could lead to heart disease and rheumatoid arthritis. So how to prevent your skin from free radicals;

It is the natural way to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the body and prevent premature aging and revealing the fresh new skin cells beneath. Well it also depends on your geographical presence. Important: 8-10 glasses do not include soft drinks and / or coffee! They actually tax the system of moisture. Ways to ensure you drink enough water are:

Well Balanced Moms Are More Fun or Have More Fun

Should I say “Well Balanced Moms Are More Fun or Have more fun”? Let me ask you… When was the last time you had lunch with some girl friends, or went on a girl’s night out? When was the last time you went on a romantic weekend getaway with your spouse? If you can’t remember, we definitely have to talk.

It’s so easy to fall into the mommy guilt trap.

We feel guilty if we take time for ourselves, so we end up taking care of everyone in the family but us. It’s easy to lose ourselves in the quest to become Super Mom. Along the way we get stressed out and aggravated. It’s important to do something just for us to stay balanced moms.
Here are some ways for you to get started on your journey to rediscover YOU.
Get together with some girlfriends.  One of the best ways to rediscover yourself is to spend some time with your girlfriends each week. Have lunch together, go to the movies to watch the latest chick flick or plan a girl’s night out every once in a while.
If you are having a bad day, call one of your girlfriends to vent or just chat. You’ll be surprised how much better you feel and how it puts things back in perspective that seemed like the end of the world a few minutes ago.
Spend a romantic weekend with your spouse – anywhere but at home. Go away for a romantic weekend with your spouse a few times a year. Rekindle your passion for each other and feel in love again, instead just partners in dealing with the everyday “stuff’ involved in raising kids.
Go on a date every week. Get a sitter once a week and go on a date with your significant other. Spend some time reconnecting with each other. If you have an activity that you both enjoy, take a class together.
Pamper Yourself. Do something every week to pamper yourself.
Go get a new haircut. Visit your favorite nail saloon for a manicure, pedicure or to get your nails done. Call your favorite day spa and schedule a facial. Get a massage.
If you are on a budget, pamper yourself at home. Send Dad and the kids to the park. Take a hot bubble bath and paint you toenails. Honey makes a quick facial.Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Don’t feel guilty about taking time for yourself a few times a week. Your kids will appreciate it when they get a balanced and fun mom in return. You will be more relaxed, happier and actually be able to enjoy your family. After all, that’s why you had kids in the first place, didn’t you?

Ugly thing that popped up on my face – Acne? What, Why and How

Wait! Wait! Let me tell you what ugly thing popped up on my face. Yes, it was a pimple shining on my forehead. It was another shock of my life? It was not there when I saw my face in the mirror. It was looking horrible and I wished it would go away. When I browse sites and read articles, I faced one common word “ACNE”. I started looking for answers to my questions. My basic questions were;

What is Acne? Why is Acne? How is Acne?

There are many articles written on Acne Skin Care. Many of them talks about symptoms, causes, treatment and products. You will just move around in a loop. Today, I just share with you a basic introduction which will help you to understand Acne. Once you understand then it will be easy to get rid of Acne or get Acne treatment.

1. What is acne: Simple, the ugly pimple that appeared on my forehead is also known as Acne. According to U.S. National Library of Medicine “Acne is a skin condition that causes whiteheads, blackheads, and inflamed red growths (papules, pustules, and cysts) to form. These growths are commonly called pimples or “zits.” Skin oil and dirt block the pores of skin which later explode through our skin in shape of pimples.

It normally occurs during the adolescent phase. We can say during their teen age. Some they even don’t get Acne but some they get all over their faces. There is misconception that only girls get Acne. No, I have seen boys facing the same problem. Acne could last from days to months or even years. By the passage of time, some get their skin repaired naturally and you cannot find any sign of acne in their faces but for some it leave acne scars.

2. Why Acne: While I was reading, I was shocked when I read one of the analysis where they say “three out of four teenagers have some acne”. But I have seen people in their 30s and 40s have acne. Acne tends to run in families. There are many factors that can cause acne i.e.;

In girls, hormonal changes related to menstrual periods Pregnancy or birth control pills Stress Oily or greasy skin care products Hair products Steroids, Testosterone, Estrogen etc.More Humidity and Sweating Bad Eating habits Intake of Oily foods regularly

As I said Acne is a problem of swelling and inflammation not a problem caused by bacteria. There are many types of acne. Acne Vulgaris is the most common acne. It is basically eruptions in our skin due to dirt and other particles settling in. if the acne is very severe, and looks like a big boil, it could be a cyst, in which case one needs to be careful and not touch it too much. If they do, it might erupt, ooze with puss and not be a pretty sight.

3. How Acne: Sometimes acne becomes one of our big problems and young ones start thinking of jumping there schools because they do not want to face their friends. As I mentioned above, for some girls, hormonal changes in their body leads to acne and for this there is no cure but to let nature takes it course. It is the reaction of our body against the changes happening inside. Therefore no need for panic. But we can reduce or even avoid acne by applying some nice habits;

Avoid bad eating habits Stay calm. No stress Less intake of oily foods on a regular basis Acne or pimples occur when the follicle are blocked and does not get enough oxygen. If we touch acne effected part or pimple and then touches our fingers to un-effected part of the face then there are more chances of spread. So, it is better to control yourself.Wash your face multiple times during the day.In the market, there are various products that claim to make the acne go away in a day or two. Some are fine and most of them are just scams.

Always use oil free products and try to buy from the reliable source.

Tip: Don’t see your acne face all the time in mirror if you don’t have confidence on yourself. It will just create panic and some sort of inferiority complex.
